An RRI community-protection campaign

KeepBushRural

Track the land-use proposals, source documents, policy questions, and public actions that affect Bush and surrounding rural communities.

Read this campaign record carefully. RRI distinguishes its analysis from official parish notice. Items without a current official agenda, packet, case record, or verification date are labeled for re-verification. Always confirm a hearing date or legal status with the responsible public body.

Official agenda status 2026-4652-CP

Commercial excavation proposal

The official August 4, 2026 Zoning Commission agenda lists the 53-acre Ben Williams Road proposal as conditional-use case 2026-4652-CP, says it was postponed from July 7, and states that staff requests postponement. That is agenda status, not a meeting outcome.

RRI's open letter documents concerns about excavation, truck traffic, drainage, private wells, backfill, and enforceable operating limits under the earlier 2026-4652-ZC reference.

Legacy record Bush / Talisheek

Town-center language

Town-center nodes appear in an archived KeepBushRural summary. Because no dated source is attached to that entry, RRI does not present it as the current proposal.

Next: Compare the archived summary with the latest official zoning packet.

Monitoring topic Lacombe / Highway 434

Corridor-enhancement concerns

RRI's campaign record identified corridor standards and their effect on common rural property features as a concern. No live case or decision is asserted here without an attached official source.

Next: Review agenda and packet updates at the parish zoning portal.

Research question Density and infrastructure

Garden-home density, sewer, and runoff

The campaign continues to preserve questions about density, central-sewer assumptions, drainage, road capacity, and infrastructure. These are review topics, not findings about a specific pending application unless a case page says otherwise.

Source path: Official packets, ordinances, plans, and RRI analysis in the document library.
